In placing an order with us by completing the checkout process you are deemed to have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Trading. Our responsibility for any item exported by us from the mainland UK ends with us obtaining proof of shipping.

Cherry Blossom Bonsai Terms & Conditions of Trading

Payment  Online payments are accepted by PayPalonly. You can also pay by telephone to 01933 665383 during shop opening hours. We try to ensure as far as possible that product desriptions, pricing, and specifications are accurate. However manufacturer’s and supplier’s specifications may change without prior notification and we reserve the right to withdraw items or substitute items of equal or greater value and quality if necessary. All goods remain the property of Cherry Blossom Bonsai until paid for in full.

Dispatch Goods will normally be dispatched Monday to Friday within 48 hours of receipt of cleared payment. Please note Couriers do not consider Saturday or Sunday to be a normal working day. Orders received for Trees are dispatched between Monday 9am to 1pm on Thursday. Orders for trees received after 1pm on Thursdays, and on Fridays, weekends, and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the first working day of the following week. We have adopted this policy in order to avoid trees being left unattended in a warehouse through the weekend. Cherry Blossom Bonsai can not accept any responsibility for any deterioration or damage to trees that are shipped through the weekend at the customer’s request.
Deliveries Goods must be inspected and signed for at the time of delivery, which will normally be between 8.00am and 5.00pm. We are unable to entertain claims for damaged goods after delivery has been accepted unless noted as damaged on delivery. Claims made for goods signed for as ‘Not checked’ will not be accepted. We will usually require photographic evidence in support of any claim for damaged goods. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that somebody will be available at the delivery address to receive the parcel. Alternative delivery arrangements, such as leaving at a neighbour’s premises, can usually be made if we are notified when the order is placed. However, the order must carry the originator’s address to comply with card security regulations. We cannot be held responsible for non delivery or damage to items that are left by request at an unsecured location such as ‘behind the green bin’. We believe that our packaging methods for delivering Bonsai Trees are second to none. We use new double wall boxes wherever possible, and trees are well protected against moisture loss during transit. Therefore we regret that if you are unable to accept prompt delivery of your parcel we cannot be held responsible for trees delivered in poor condition or damaged due to prolonged delays in transit. For this reason we do not recommend Standard Parcels or second class for delivery of Bonsai Trees. If you would like advice on the delivery services available please get in touch. Items offered for sale with free posting will be dispatched by the most cost efficient delivery service of our choosing, with regard to the delivery zone. Orders that are cancelled following an unsuccessful delivery by the carrier where the parcel is subsequently returned to Cherry Blossom will be charged at 10% to cover the cost of administration and packaging providing the goods remain in a satisfactory and saleable condition upon receipt at our premises. Goods that are damaged, used, or beyond recovery will not be refunded. We are unable to guarantee delivery on any particular day or time of day. Once a parcel has been dispatched from our premises, our deliveries are subject to the control of the delivering company, whether Royal Mail or other Courier Service. Please do not ask to be contacted by the carrier during delivery of your order as we are unable to enforce these requests. Carriers are under no obligation to contact customers to confirm delivery arrangements. We cannot be responsible for the deterioration of live trees if you are not available to receive the delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any re-delivery required following the initial attempt by the carrier is arranged as quickly as possible to avoid damage to the tree. Although we make every effort to ensure safe and efficient deliveries, we cannot be held responsible for deliveries that are delayed for reasons that are plainly beyond our control such as bad weather or breakdowns in the carrier operations. We take great care in packing all mail order goods, and we will only use reputable carriers for deliveries. However we are not able to offer guarantees for safe delivery of trees or accessories exported from the mainland UK. Our responsibility for items exported from the mainland UK ends with us obtaining proof of dispatch.

If your goods do not arrive within 5 working days then please contact us and we will do our very best to resolve any problems.
Order Cancellation We comply in all respects with the Consumer Contracts regulations but perishable goods (such as live trees) are exempt from the returns and cancellation benefit of those regulations. You may cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt of your order. If you decide to cancel your order you must notify us by email, and the customer is then responsible for the safe return of all goods that are the subject of a cancelled order. Failure to return goods to us will result in charges being applied for us to arrange collection of goods. We will refund any monies you have paid to us less a 10% (minimum £2.50) administration charge which we will make to cover the credit card charges taken from your payment by Secure Trading and our own internal costs.
Returns We believe all trees and accessories sent out by us are healthy and true to description, and every effort is made to ensure they are of the best quality. Your business is important to us, and your satisfaction is our primary concern. Due to poor care, unfavourable environments or other neglect, plants can fail and therefore we will only consider complaints made in regard to live trees within seven days of receiving the order. Cherry Blossom Bonsai operates a 14 day money back refund on the purchase price of all goods correctly supplied to order providing that,1. Goods are returned in perfect and unused condition, in their original packaging. 2. The purchaser ensures that the goods are securely and adequately packed to avoid damage. 3. The purchaser pays all return postage costs. Please contact us before returning any goods. We recommend that you return products by recorded delivery or by carrier that requires a signature. Cherry Blossom Bonsai accepts no responsibility for goods returned to us that are not received unless signed proof of delivery can be provided. On safe return of the product the purchase price of the goods excluding any post and packing charges will be refunded.
